Cindy Rivka Marshall sees story as a tool for learning, teaching values, and imparting culture. She travels widely to appear at synagogues, schools and conferences, offering multicultural and Jewish stories and storytelling workshops for all ages.
A recipient of a Parents’ Choice Recommended Award, Storytelling World Honor Award and National Parenting Publications Award, she uses movement and song in a theatrical style that encourages audiences to participate and experience the stories.
Cindy Rivka Marshall is also an organizational consultant. She specializes in using story eliciting and listening to facilitate communication. Her ongoing consultation and/or workshops help synagogues and schools to build a sense of community. She is experienced in diversity awareness education. She offers professional development trainings to educators in the use of storytelling and story sharing in education.
The folktales and original stories she tells hold universal lessons and performances resonate with a sense of wonder and respect for all. Entertaining programs stimulate an appreciation of the diverse cultures that have given us a rich legacy of fables and folktales. Her repertoire includes stories from Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.
